A new addition to Honorable Rat
Hey y’all! It’s a new face for Honorable Rat, his trustier and better looking sister, TinkerRat! I’ve pestered the Rat to let me write up some guest posts to add a little something something to this blog. So let’s start with a brief background on me and what you can expect! I’m the middle child in our Disney-lovin’ family, with the Rat being the oldest. Growing up, we would spend hours watching Disney films together, on repeat. Our parents would save insanely to get us on family vacations to the parks every once in a while, which fueled our love for all things Disney.
Addicted to Disney
As an adult, I am proud to be a full-fledged Disnerd; complete with my pin trading bags, a wardrobe filled with Disney merchandise whether from the parks or collaborations, and a growing collection of thingamabobs. Still based in Singapore, I find every opportunity to surround myself with the magic, and while Disney’s presence in Singapore is slowly growing (we had a Star Wars run on May 6th!!), I enjoy planning my vacations flitting around the Disney parks. I’ve been to all Disney parks, except the one in Shanghai, which I plan to hit this, or next year. Oh, and I haven’t been to the water parks in Walt Disney World either. I’d love to revisit Walt Disney World and Disneyland Paris in the next 3 years.
So, what can you expect from TinkerRat?
The nearest park to me is a four-hour flight across the South China Sea, so getting my Disney fix often involves months of saving and planning, searching and researching. I would like to think of myself as an intermediate level vacation planner, so I’d love to share some neat tips and tricks I’ve compiled from travelling to Disney parks. Also, travelling overseas for Disney often involves extreme planning for your daily schedule at the parks, in order to maximize the day and do as much as you can in the short time that you’re there for, so be sure to look out for ideas on the must- dos, must-sees and must-buys, and what are some of the things I think are most worth your time at the parks.
If there’s anything specific you’d like to know, be sure to leave a comment below or connect with us on social media, and we’ll tackle your questions as soon as we can! I can’t wait to share my thoughts and ideas with you so let’s get going! Till then, this is TinkerRat, signing off with a quote the one and only Tramp!
Look, there's a great big hunk of world down there, with no fence around it. Where two dogs (or rats) can find adventure and excitement. And beyond those distant hills, who knows what wonderful experiences? And it's all ours for the taking, Pige. It's all ours.
