What are my reasons for visiting Cape Cod?
The only time I visit Cape Cod is when my kids request for it. If I didn't have kids, I don't think I would go out of my way to travel to Cape Cod. I'm not a fan of Duffy and his crew, so there's really no point for me to visit this part of the park. Oh wait, that's a lie. I like Milk Tea Popcorn and it can only be found in Cape Cod, so there you have it. My two reasons for visiting Cape Cod are Milk Tea Popcorn and pressure from my kids.
Is dining in Cape Cod Cook-Off worth the hike?
Well, it depends. As I mentioned before, if I didn't have kids, Cape Cod would be invisible to me. I would only be able to see the Milk Tea Popcorn cart in the middle of a cloud of invisibility. My ratty senses would not be able to pick up the existence of Cape Cod Cook-Off. I've never really enjoyed the burgers they serve up. Granted, yes, they are affordable. One of the cheapest places to grab a meal in DisneySea, but the burgers taste like how they are priced... cheap! With that being said, dining in Cape Cod Cook-Off with kids is always good. They are so fixated on the show. Somehow, someway, while their eyes are focused on the stage, their hands automatically put food into their own mouths. It's like magic. Mummy and Daddy get some time to enjoy a meal without having to worry about the children getting fed. That gave me time to sink my teeth into this 15th Anniversary burger pictured below!
How did this 15th Anniversary Burger taste?
When it comes to Tokyo DisneySea 15th Anniversary food, I've only reviewed the set from Casbah Food Court and that was great. This burger from Cape Cod Cook-Off was surprisingly, not far behind in the "15th Anniversary Tokyo DisneySea Tickle My Taste Buds" race. The saltiness from the bacon and cheese combined well with the sweetness from the tomatoes and the onions. I have to give a special shout-out to the onions. They were crunchy and sweet. A delight to bite into. Surprisingly, there was no sauce in the burger. The beef patty had a smoky, peppery, wafu flavor to it and that was more than enough to make up for the lack of sauce. The only complaint that I have about this burger is its bun. It was a little dry and that didn't do it for me. It tasted like old wheat bread with a light cocoa aftertaste. If you are gonna get this, remove the buns and focus on the insides of this wonderful creation. Well done Cape Cod Cook-Off. Honorable Rat has taken notice. Once transparent, now translucent. An improvement!
