When it comes to cute food in Tokyo Disney, Tokyo Disneyland is a clear winner over DisneySea and that benefits everyone in the family. Kids are more likely to finish what they have on their plates and parents spend less time trying to force food down their kids' throats. That's a win-win situation for every member of any family. If you are traveling to Tokyo Disney with a hunger for "Kawaii" food, Mike's Melon Bread is definitely one of the cutest you can find!
Mike's Melon Bread, also known as Melon Pan Mike, can be found in Sweetheart Cafe. This amazingly cute piece of dough costs 270 yen. Melon Pan is really popular in Japan and you can find it almost anywhere. One of my favorite Melon Pan is being sold in 7-Eleven. It's easy to get, soft, affordable and filled with buttery goodness. Mike's Melon Bread is definitely more photogenic than it's cousin over at 7-Eleven, but it's also more than double the price. Does it taste as good as it looks?
Unlike 7-Eleven's Melon Pan, Mike's Melon Bread has a light melon flavor to it. As soon as you bite into it, the taste of melon enriches your mouth and once you get to the "eye" of the bun, you'll experience the combination of chocolate and melon which is quite interesting. However, Mike's Melon Bread was not as soft as I thought it would be. It fails in comparison to its more affordable cousin. Overall, taste-wise, Mike's Melon Bread does not warrant its price tag, but looks-wise, it's a winner. Traveling to Tokyo Disneyland with kids or in need of cyber attention from social media channels? Add this to your list!
