Before we begin this review, I'd like to apologize for miscalling this snack in Honorable Rat's YouTube video, "Honorable Snack Run #5." It's name is Sweet Bean Mike, but I kept calling it Red Bean Mike. I'm only a rat and believe it or not, your amazing Honorable Rat makes mistakes from time to time. I know, it's a tough pill to swallow, but if you could find it in your heart to forgive me and keep reading my reviews, I'm pretty damn sure that you will see me as a brilliant, talented and amazing Rat.
The third snack I got for this snack run was a Red Bean Mike. Damn it Honorable Rat! It's called Sweet Bean Mike! Get the name right if you wanna do reviews! I think I'm losing it Ratketeer. In the last review, I couldn't even figure the taste of banana out. Now, I can't get the name of a snack right. It must be the environment that I'm in. It's been raining a lot recently and I've been stuck in the sewers, listening to my neighbors sing songs from One Direction. This ain't working. I need to find a way to block this noise out.
Ratketeer, I've found a solution. I'm currently writing to you from another part of the sewers. I needed a change in environment, so I decided to crawl from beneath Shibuya to the depths of Shimokitazawa. It's a nice change. From plastic, Kawaii rats that love anything the media feeds them to rats that appreciate talent and depth. As I'm typing this, my neighbor is crooning like Freddie Mercury. Singing a tune from Queen titled, "Great King Rat." He must have heard that I was coming. "Great King Rat was a dirty old rat and a dirty old rat was he." Oh yeah! I'm loving this neck of the sewers.
Now that I'm able to block the bad juju out, I'm able to give you my all again Ratketeer. SWEET Bean Mike costs 310 yen and it can be found in Plaza Restaurant. In my opinion, this is definitely one of the cutest snacks in all of Tokyo Disney. Just like the Scrump Dumplings, it was served cold. I really don't know what the skin of Sweet Bean Mike was made out of, but it had the same texture as it's filling which was red bean paste. I'm gonna make an Honorable guess with this one and say that it's skin was made out of green beans. Consistently soft and pasty. The taste of SWEET Bean Mike was also consistent throughout. To me, it had the perfect level of sweetness. I am a sucker for red or green bean, so this was a great way to end my meal. However, when I got this from Plaza Restaurant, I was shocked. It was way smaller than I thought it would have been. On picture, it seemed like it was gonna be a little smaller than my palm, but in real life, it was way smaller than that. It was the size of Donald Trump's palm! 310 yen for something that small!? It certainly felt like I got ripped off. See for yourself in the video below. At the end of the day, SWEET Bean Mike looked fantastic and tasted great, but I will only buy it on special occasions.
