In the last blog post, Honorable Rat reviewed a favorite with the Rat family. Little Mahina and I traveled to Lawson for a Snack Run and got ourselves the Cheese Karaage-kun. This was the first time that I've ever had a guest in one of my videos and I had so much fun making the video with her. It was definitely a proud Daddy moment for me. Who better to make an appearance in my videos than my baby girl? If you would like to watch Little Mahina participate in a Snack Run, do watch the video at the end of this blog post.
For this blog post, I'm gonna be reviewing the Yuzu Ponzu Karaage-kun. Lawson always tries to get creative with the flavors of their Karaage-kun. I've tried Tom Yum, Butter Curry and now, Yuzu Ponzu. These creative flavors are only available for a limited period of time. For those of you who don't know, Yuzu is a type of Japanese citrus fruit and Ponzu is a citrus-based Japanese sauce. Add them together with some nuggets of chicken and voila! You have this set of 5 that goes for 268 yen.
Just like the Cheese Karaage-kun, the Yuzu Ponzu Karaage-kun were tender and juicy. They were definitely more fragrant than the Cheese Karaage-kun. There was a citrusy kick to it which I really liked. Lighter on the palate and more refreshing. I've been going to Lawson every weekend with Little Mahina for the past 2 years and she has always gotten the Cheese Karaage-kun. Nothing else could beat it, until now. I was really surprised by her reaction and comments. They say that a picture paints a thousand words. I'll let the video attached do the rest of the talking. Ratketeer, I'd like to introduce you to Little Mahina.
