In the last blog post, I wrote about Rackety's Raccoon Saloon. I've gotta be honest. I've seen Rackety's Raccoon Saloon many times, but I've never actually purchased anything from it, prior to these series of blog posts. Splash Mountain is one of my favorite rides in Tokyo Disneyland and every time I exit that attraction, I glance over at Rackety's Raccoon Saloon, look at the menu and walk away. Nothing on the menu enticed me enough to part with my coins.
However, on this faithful day, I had some ideas that I needed to pen down on paper and after Splash Mountain, I decided to take a seat at Rackety's Raccoon Saloon. At that time, my stomach started to grumble and since I was already there, I decided to get myself some snacks. I got myself a Tortilla Hot Dog with Cheese, a Mickey Churro (Cinnamon) and the Sugared Walnuts.
The Tortilla Hot Dog with Cheese set me back by 390 yen. That's not much, considering that a churro in Tokyo Disney is 310 yen. That's just dough and sugar. The Tortilla Hot Dog with Cheese, however, contained processed meat wrapped in two slices of cheese and a tortilla wrap. You can never go wrong with processed meat! When I got the Tortilla Hot Dog with Cheese, I was pleasantly surprised. I always imagined it to be smaller, but it was a decently sized snack. The sausage was bigger than what I thought it would be.
The Tortilla Hot Dog with Cheese was the bomb! From the picture above, you can see that it's a really simple snack, but do not be fooled by it. Everything came together really well to create this explosion of flavors in my mouth. The tortilla wrap was soft and the sausage was brilliant. There were some herbs in the sausage which added another dimension to it's salty flavor. The cheese also came into play. It completed the whole snacking experience with some richness and cheesy delight. I am a Rat. Cheese is good! How did I not try this snack before?! I will be seeing more of you really soon, Rackety's Raccoon Saloon. Definitely one of the best snacks in Tokyo Disneyland.
