We've got crazy flavors of popcorn here in Tokyo Disney, but when it comes to Churros, the selection is not so varied. There is the Mickey Churro (Cafe Au Lait) which I like, but that's about it. There used to be lime. I don't know where that has gone to. Good riddance though. That was atrocious. Recently, in the parks, I've only seen Cafe Au Lait, cinnamon and strawberry.
You can find Mickey Churro (Strawberry) at Lite Bite Satellite in Tomorrowland in Tokyo Disneyland. A Mickey Churro costs 310 yen and this one has strawberry flavored sugar sprinkled all over it. I love strawberries. They are one of the three fruits that I love. Strawberries, pineapples and apples. Those are my three Honorable fruits. Naturally, I was quite excited to be getting the Mickey Churro (Strawberry).
As I got closer to Lite Bite Satellite, the smell of strawberry filled the air. It was beautiful. Imagine walking into a strawberry field. It was exactly like that. It smelled delightful and my mouth started to water as I walked up to the lady to exchange 310 yen for a Mickey Churro (Strawberry).
The Mickey Churro (Strawberry) tasted great at first. The strawberry sugar was sweet and it made me feel like I was skipping through a field of strawberries while listening to The Beatles. It's texture was just like any other churro in Tokyo Disney. Crisp on the outside. However, after chewing for a bit, there was that medicinal aftertaste that I hate. After a while, it tasted like cough syrup and that lingered in my mouth. Much like Paul McCartney, it refused to leave. Also, I don't know why, but just like the Strawberry & Custard Waffle, it got me super thirsty. If you really want to have a Mickey Churro in Tokyo Disney, I suggest you go with the Mickey Churro (Cinnamon) or Mickey Churro (Cafe Au Lait).
