Top 5 Budget Restaurants in Tokyo Disneyland

Cheap and Disney don't go together. Nothing is cheap in Disney and Tokyo Disney Resort is no exception. I mean, a tea bag with a small cup of hot water costs 390 yen! A pack of 10 at the supermarket would cost the same. In this kingdom of magic, you'll have to pay 500 yen to get a chicken "Bao". You can get the same thing at a convenience store for a quarter of that price! Granted, the one being sold in Tokyo DisneySea is bigger in size, but that still does not justify it's price. With 500 yen, I can get 2 "Baos" from the nearby NewDays convenience store and still get to save 200 yen. As you can see, it can be quite difficult to find food that's both affordable and good at the resort, but don't you worry Ratketeer. Your Honorable Rat has scavenged Tokyo Disney and found some eateries that are both affordable and good. For this blog post, I will be letting you in on my top 5 budget restaurants in Tokyo Disneyland. By budget, I mean, filling your tummy up with tasty food for 1,000 yen or less. Affordable and delectable. Just the way I like it.

1) Great American Waffle Company

Great American Waffle Company

You won't have to crawl far to get to Great American Waffle Company. A great place to get your hands on one of them Mickey Waffles. There's no better way to start your morning in Tokyo Disneyland. You can fill yourself up by devouring on Mickey's face, first thing in the morning. With 500 yen, you can choose between 3 flavors that are available. If you would like to start your day with a sugar rush, you could even opt to add vanilla ice cream to your waffle for an additional 210 yen. There's always a line at Great American Waffle Company, so plan your visit accordingly. They even have Mini Waffles for those who prefer to have their meal on the go.

Refreshment Corner

Refreshment Corner

About 94 steps away from Great American Waffle Company, yes I counted, you will find Refreshment Corner. Refreshment Corner serves up hot dogs and you can get a set that comes with a drink and fries for 1,000 yen or less. A set always fills me up and gives me the energy I need to conquer the park. However, this eatery only provides outdoor seating, so if the weather is not cooperating, you might wanna head somewhere else. With that being said, if it is nice out, you will be able to devour a delicious hot dog while enjoying an amazing view of Cinderella Castle.

Pan Galactic Pizza Port

Pan Galactic Pizza Port

A hit with kids, young and old. Pan Galactic Pizza Port is one of the most entertaining restaurants to dine in, in Tokyo Disneyland. My kids love this place. How can you go wrong with pizza and animatronics? Pan Galactic Pizza Port is the only restaurant in Tokyo Disneyland where you can get a whole pizza. It's by no means a Costco-sized pizza, but it is enough to fill this rat up. Pan Galactic Pizza Port also serves up calzones. If your group is filling peckish, this is the best place to grab a pizza to share. The animatronics will keep the kids busy while Mummy and Daddy rekindle their love by stuffing each other's faces with slices of pizza.

Tomorrowland Terrace

Tomorrowland Terrace

If you are a fan of burgers, there's no better place to indulge in one, in Tokyo Disneyland. You won't get your run-of-the-mill, boring burger here. Tomorrowland Terrace serves up Mickey Burgers. These burgers are not only cute. They are delicious too. The buns that come with these burgers are soft and sweet. A set here which comes with one of the 3 burgers on offer, fries and a drink will set you back 980 yen. Also, for some reason, this is the least crowded restaurant on this list, so if you are looking for available seats, this might be your best bet. Tasty, affordable and photogenic. What more can a rat ask for?

Hungry Bear Restaurant

Hungry Bear Restaurant

On the other side of Tokyo Disneyland, you will find Hungry Bear Restaurant. Hungry Bear Restaurant serves up Japanese curry with rice. There are two sizes of curry rice being served up here. Regular and large. If you are a big eater, you could opt for the large bowl of curry rice. For me, the regular bowl is enough to get me into hibernation mode. Also, the curries available here come in mild or regular. If you are really worried about spice, you might want to opt for a mild bowl of curry. For this spice loving rat, regular is the way to go. Mild or regular, a bowl of curry here goes easy on the wallet and will definitely hit the spot.
