Sultan's Oasis has been getting a lot of love from Honorable Rat recently. Before, I only had 3 reasons to visit Arabian Coast. Casbah Food Court, Sindbad's Storybook Voyage and Curry Popcorn. After discovering Creamy Curry Soup, that number has been bumped up to 4. No wait, sorry, make that 5. I enjoy squandering my money away at Abu's Bazaar too. 5 should be a good number, right? It should be enough to call Arabian Coast my favorite Port of Call in DisneySea. Well, no, which is sad because I really want it to be my favorite. It has curry and the theming is in sync with my heritage. I want it to be my favorite because I feel the most connected to this Port of Call. I know, I know. I'm weird.
What's my favorite Port of Call then? American Waterfront! Why? Well, here's a list. Tower of Terror, Toy Story Mania, New York Deli, Milk Tea Popcorn, DisneySea Electric Railway, Sailing Day Buffet, S.S Columbia Dining Room and The Teddy Roosevelt Lounge. That's 8 reasons for me to love American Waterfront! I just need 4 more reasons from Arabian Coast and I'll be able to call it my undisputed home Port of Call! Told you I am weird. For this blog post, I travel back to Sultan's Oasis to, hopefully, find my 6th reason. Come on Arabian Coast! You gotta claim that throne!
Before we begin, I'd like to thank the person who came up with the name for this snack. I'd like to thank him or her for adding giggles into this childish mind of mine. I'm sorry, but Maple Cream Balls just sound like something out of an adult movie. In fact, it could be the title of one. Who knows what goes on behind the walls of Arabian Coast? Spicyyyyyyyyy!
So, we won't really know what goes on behind the majestic walls of Arabian Coast, but you have uncovered a little bit of my mind. Now, this same perverted, immature mind will attempt to communicate what it thinks about these Maple Cream Balls to you. A cup of 5 Maple Cream Balls cost 360 yen. The balls are not too big. You can easily fit one ball into your mouth. The skin of each ball has a soft texture. As you bite into the balls, you will get a chocolaty, maply flavor. You'll also get some bits and pieces of crushed almonds in the balls. The nuts add some crunch to the balls. It all sounds really mouthwatering, but the skin of the balls were a little too thick for my liking. Replace some of that skin with more maple and nuts. That would have made these balls better. Also, as I was chewing down on the balls, my eyes were focused elsewhere. I was looking over at Open Sesame. Open Sesame sells Mickey Churros for 310 yen. I would rather spend my money on that. Sad to say, Maple Cream Balls didn't become my 6th reason. Oh wait! I have a 6th reason! Mickey Churros! 3 more to go!
