The holiday season is over and everyone has put on some weight, including me. I look at myself in the mirror and am disgusted by the spare tire that has grown in my abdominal area. So, I did what any well-disciplined rat would do. I held that spare tire with both hands, with pride and headed to Tokyo Disneyland to try to get this bulge a little rounder. Sculpt it up a little. I went to Tokyo Disneyland to eat!
The food of choice to sculpt this amazing body was pasta. Throughout the holiday season, I've had chicken, soba, sushi, and much more, but I didn't get to add pasta to the system, so I thought I'd be fair to my body and add a different type of fuel for a change. Just to change things up. Confuse the bugger a little. With pasta on my mind, I waltzed up to Eastside Cafe in World Bazaar in Tokyo Disneyland.
Eastside Cafe is a table service restaurant that serves up set courses. A set includes a starter, pasta, dessert and beverage. This costs 2,040 yen. You can opt to not have dessert and the price will be reduced to 1,730 yen. No dessert?! The nerve! Having no dessert after a meal is like Donald Trump with not putting on a toupee after taking a bath. Unthinkable!!!
As you can see from the menu above, Eastside Cafe provides a free-flow of certain types of drinks and you also get all you can eat bread, just like the S.S. Columbia Dining Room in Tokyo DisneySea. I really like this system. I could sit in the warmth and comfort of Eastside Cafe for hours in the company of amazing rats, eating, drinking and enjoying conversation. Brilliant. Everything packaged nicely for a little over 2,000 yen. There's something on the menu for everyone. Cream sauce, basil sauce, garlic sauce, meat sauce. Everything! To all my vegetarian Ratketeers out there, do not fret. Eastside Cafe has got you covered. They also have something for the kids. Everybody walks away happy!
The food served up at Eastside Cafe is really good. If you're looking for pasta, there's no better restaurant in Tokyo Disneyland. I've tried everything on the menu and everything was good. Everything was served at the right time and everything was perfectly portioned for this rat. If you have a big appetite, all you got to do is ask for some bread and dip that in your leftover pasta sauce. You cannot go wrong with anything on this menu.
Overall, Eastside Cafe provides a great dining experience. Good food, comfortable setting, free-flow of drinks and all you can eat bread. If you are craving for pasta, there's no better place in Tokyo Disneyland. I would recommend that you take your time at Eastside Cafe. It's a great place to rest your tired legs and reconnect with your party. I'm proud to say that my dining experience here helped with sculpting my "Dad's body" and my taste buds were dancing with joy. I would take a picture of my anti-gym body and show it to all you Ratketeers, but as you may already know, I am a really shy rat. There are some things that I just can't do, but I will definitely visit Eastside Cafe again.
