For the last blog post, I reviewed Spaghettini Bolognese from Eastside Cafe. It was splendid. Made me a really happy rat. Today, I thought that it'd be cool as a cucumber to review Spaghetti with Meat Sauce from Center Street Coffeehouse. Both of them are similar type of dishes. They are both noodles drenched with meat sauce. You might be a little confused right now. You might be going, "Oh, great, Honorable One, what's the difference then?" Don't you worry Ratketeer. It's perfectly fine to not know the difference. To the untrained rat, the only difference is in the dishes' names. To a Master Shifu Rat like me, there is more than meats the eye. Get it. Did you get that? "More than meats the eye". It should have been "More than meets the eye", but I intelligently changed it. Sometimes, even I am surprised at how witty I am. No need for thanks, Ratketeers. I'm proud to be using my wit and humility for the betterment of the world.
Now that I'm done with boosting my own ego, allow me to shed some of this wisdom that I got from eating in the sewers of the world. First off, the noodles are different. Spaghettini is a little thinner than spaghetti. Next up, the sauce is a little different. Spaghetti with Meat Sauce served up at Center Street Coffeehouse is a little wetter than the Spaghettini Bolognese from Eastside Cafe. It reminds me of homemade meat sauce that my Mum used to make. It has meat in it, mushrooms and has a more "tomatoey" taste to it as compared to the Spaghettini Bolognese. Also, this dish does not contain cheese like it's cousin from Eastside Cafe. So, basically, it's wetter and has does not taste as rich as the Spaghettini Bolognese. There's more of a tomato flavor while it's cousin has more of a cheesy, meaty, balanced flavor. Spaghetti with Meat Sauce feels more homely. When I was chowing down this dish, it felt like I was at a friend's place or back home. Spaghettini Bolognese felt more like something that I would get at a nice Italian restaurant.
So, which is better? To me, Spaghettini Bolognese was a little better than Spaghetti with Meat Sauce. I love both of these dishes served up in Tokyo Disneyland, but Spaghettini Bolognese gets a bit of an edge because of the richness of it. So, which should you go for? If I were to head to Tokyo Disneyland alone, I would have to go with the Spaghettini Bolognese. If I were to head to Tokyo Disneyland with my loved ones and all of them feel like having pasta, we would find ourselves in Eastside Cafe. However, if one rat, just one, does not feel like having pasta, we would veer ourselves towards Center Street Coffeehouse. This is the beauty of Disney. It is your playground. You choose the path that best suits your party's needs. With that, I shall leave you and go meditate. Master Shifu Honorable Rat, out!!!
