What is a Tipo Torta? I've never heard of a Tipo Torta. My first time encountering it was in Tokyo Disneyland, not too long ago. In fact, now that I've tried it, I still don't know what a Tipo Torta is. So, I went looking for answers at the most trustworthy website.
According to Wikipedia, Torta is "a Spanish, Italian and Portuguese ( and also French, tarte) word with a wide array of culinary meanings." It could be a flat bread, a sweet cake, a Mexican sandwich, an omelette or an Italian pastry crust. As you can probably tell, after doing my research, I still have no idea what a Tipo Torta is and I've only looked into the word "Torta". After "Torta", I could not even be bothered with "Tipo". Yes, I'm lazy like that. It's one of my many weaknesses.
Prior to trying Chocolate Tipo Torta, I've tried Caramel and Custard Tipo Torta. It was banging! I immediately fell in love with it. Naturally, I was really excited to try Chocolate Tipo Torta. As I was waiting in line, I got super excited. I love chocolate and the one time I tried Tipo Torta, I fell in love with it. This was gonna be good. I could feel it!
I took a bite into the Chocolate Tipo Torta. I got through it's crust and burrowed my way into it's soul, the melted chocolate. Chocolaty and sexy goodness oozed into my mouth. It was really good, but...
Wait, there's a but? How could this have a but? It's supposed to be perfect like Caramel and Custard Tipo Torta, but something was missing. I took another bite and felt the same way. Third bite, same. What's going on here?! It didn't give me the same kick as Caramel and Custard Tipo Torta.
One of my favorite things about Caramel and Custard Tipo Torta was it's crust. It was light and flaky. Chocolate Tipo Torta didn't quite have that. It was a little dry. I really liked the oozing chocolate, but the crust was a little bit of a disappointment. I was really hoping for this to be perfect. If not for the oozing, sexy chocolate, this would have gotten a lower score. I guess not all Tipo Tortas are made the same.
