In my review of Miguel's El Dorado Cantina, I was disappointed that it doesn't serve up burritos. I am positive that Tokyo Disney read my blog posts. They use it for R & D. A few months after I wrote that review, Tokyo Disney introduces this Sweet Fried Burrito (Caramel & Banana). I should change the name of this site from Honorable Rat to Super Duper Influential Rat.
Sweet Fried Burrito can be found in Tropic Al's in Lost River Delta. In all honesty, it doesn't look like a burrito at all. It looks more like a McDonald's Apple Pie. The moment I held it in my hand, I started comparing it to a McDonald's Apple Pie. That's how my mind works. My mind started going like this, "They both look the same. An Apple Pie from McDonald's is 100yen. This Sweet Fried Burrito is 400yen. Does the Sweet Fried Burrito taste 300yen better? Is it worth 300yen more than a McDonald's Apple Pie?"
It should be easy for the Sweet Fried Burrito to come out victorious. After all, it's going against something from McDonald's. A Disney snack versus a McDonald's one. Sorta like Manny Pacquiao versus Ricky Hatton back in 2009. This fight should be a short, predictable one.
The fight starts. I bit into the Sweet Fried Burrito. It's texture was light and flaky. I liked it's texture more than a McDonald's Apple Pie. 1 point to the Sweet Fried Burrito.
Next, I swirled it around in my mouth to get a taste of it. I got a little confused when I was tasting it. It tasted really bland. It's called Sweet Fried Burrito (Caramel & Banana), but I couldn't taste the banana or the caramel. They were both really weak. When it comes to taste, the point goes to McDonald's Apple Pie.
So, it's a tie. Both fighters put up a great fight. The crowd is a little confused. What they thought would be an easy, short fight, turned out to be a fight till the end. A 100yen, cheap Apple Pie from McDonald's against a 400yen Sweet Fried Burrito from the magical Tokyo Disney. How did this happen? The crowd waited with heavy anticipation for the referee to make his decision. Could this really be happening? You could not hear a sound from the crowd. The atmosphere at that moment was intense and then the referee raised the hand of the winner. The crowd went nuts. The underdog came up victorious. The bland, boring, overpriced Sweet Fried Burrito only had itself to blame.
Honorable Rating: Daylight Robbery (1/5)
