I was a lucky kid. We were not well to do when I was born. I was brought up in a "Kampung" house in Singapore with a few of my cousins, Uncles, Aunties and my Grandmother. My childhood was amazing. Fun and games at that time was hide & seek in the jungle, catching spiders and climbing trees. I can also remember us playing in a drain. My cousins, sisters and I built a playhouse made of styrofoam there. We had chairs, tables, everything. One day, it rained and our makeshift, styrofoam house got destroyed by the rain. We were so disappointed, but every time we meet now, we laugh about it. It is a memory that I will always cherish.

Before my Mum and Dad got married, Mummy's dream was to visit Disneyland. I can remember Mummy telling me this story when I was a kid. Daddy worked his way up in the insurance industry. He worked real hard and one day Mummy's dream came true. He brought all of us to Disneyland. Disney Theme Parks became an annual trip for my family. Daddy brought all of us to every Disney Theme Park in the world. I am forever grateful. Many people have asked me, "Hayatt, why do you love Disney so much?" That is my reason.

Walt Disney had a dream and he went all out to make his dream a reality. Mummy had a dream. She and Daddy worked real hard to make that dream come true, so that my sisters and I could dream.

Traveling to a Disney Theme Park from Singapore is not cheap. Mummy and Daddy had to find a way to cost-cut. The one thing that we saved money on was food in Disney. We would smuggle our own food into Disney. I'm smiling while typing this because the memories are all coming back to me. I remember that all of us would share a turkey leg. I can remember the time when my sisters and I shared a churro. We shared everything. Whenever we got hungry, we would buy a snack or two and shared. Very rarely did we get to go to a sit-down restaurant, but we were happy. Everyone was all smiles whenever we were in a Disney Theme Park.

My youngest sister, Nadia's, favorite attraction is Pirates of the Caribbean. One day, when we were kids, as we were taking this attraction, Nadia asked me, "Hayatt, what is that over there?" She was pointing to the Blue Bayou Restaurant. I told her about it and she said, "One day, let's eat there." I will always remember Nadia saying that to me. She planted a little dream into my head. I always knew that one day, I will take Nadia to Blue Bayou Restaurant. That little dream was realized many years later in 2010. We dined in Blue Bayou Restaurant in Disneyland Paris after taking a ride on Pirates of The Caribbean, reminiscing our childhood.

Blue Bayou Restaurant ended up becoming a place where I bring the people I love. The atmosphere in this restaurant is just magical. I could sit in this restaurant for hours and enjoy conversation. The lighting creates a romantic atmosphere that allows conversation to flow. In a short time, a lot of memories have been made in this restaurant. This restaurant is the place where Natasha, my middle sister, got proposed to. This is where Wife-chan loves to order her Salmon, Snow Crab and Scallop Au Gratin. That is all she orders here. We've been here about 3 times and that's all she eats. This is the restaurant where I would carry Little Mahina, tell her about the story of Nadia and I, while we looked at the boats cruising along. A little while ago, I spent time with the two people who taught me how to dream, Mum and Dad, at this restaurant.

The food in Blue Bayou Restaurant is really good. I've tried almost everything in this restaurant and they were all good. On this visit with Wife-chan and Little Mahina, I ordered the Christmas Fantasy 2014 Special Course. Wife-chan ordered the...., yes, you guessed it, Salmon, Snow Crab and Scallop Au Gratin. I highly recommend the tenderloin in Blue Bayou Restaurant. It's my favorite entree in this restaurant. It is cooked to perfection. Juicy and flavorful. As you may have already guessed, Wife-Chan highly recommends the Salmon, Snow Crab and Scallop Au Gratin.

Blue Bayou Restaurant is a great place to sit down with the people you love, eat some great food and let the atmosphere guide your conversation. For me, this restaurant is special. I will definitely be back to create more amazing memories.
