Morning Ratketeers. I woke up today with an idea. I've decided to review every dish in Tokyo Disney Resort. I will not stop until every dish in Tokyo Disney has visited the deepest, darkest depths of my body and I'm gonna blog about each and every one of them. I don't know how I got this idea. I just woke up with it. Add this to the list of life goals. Today, I'm going to be reviewing Steamed Vegetable Curry with Rice from Hungry Bear restaurant.
Vegetarians might find delight in this dish. There are a lot of restaurants in Tokyo Disney Resort, but a lot of them don't serve up vegetarian meals. To all my vegetarian rats, add this to your list of vegetarian offerings in Tokyo Disney Resort.
I, however, am not a vegetarian and am going to review this dish as a meat eater. Steamed Vegetable Curry with Rice comes with rice, beans, potatoes, pieces of carrots, a slice of lotus root, one lady's finger, a baby corn and the Hungry Bear signature curry. All these for 800 yen and if you are a big eater, you can opt for the large plate which goes for 950 yen.
To me, this is one of the weakest offerings at Hungry Bear Restaurant. The curry was flavorful, but I would have preferred something spicier. You can choose between mild or regular curry. I chose regular and it was still lacking that bit of oomph. The vegetables were cooked to perfection. They had the right crunch to them, but I feel that they could have added a little bit more vegetables to the dish.
If you are vegetarian, you don't have much of a choice at Hungry Bear Restaurant, but if you devour everything and anything, like me, you might want to opt for the other offerings at this restaurant. 800 yen is a little bit too much to be paying for curry rice with bits and pieces of vegetables.
