I love Huey, Dewey & Louie. I love how they always find a way to anger their Uncle, Donald Duck. I love it when Donald gets angry. This relationship that they have with Uncle Donald reminds me of myself and my sister, Nadia, when we were kids. Our Uncle Donald used to be Natasha, another sister of mine. We used to come up with schemes just to make Natasha angry. The memories are pouring into my head as I am typing out this blog post. Those were the good old days. Today, Natasha has joined forces with Nadia and I. Nowadays, when the three of us are together, we just make fun of everyone else. I really cherish those times with my little sisters. Currently, I live far away from my little sisters, but many a time, I'm thinking of them. My goal is to build Honorable Rat into a gigantic company, so that one day, I will be able to combine forces with my little sisters and work together on a daily basis. I am very sure that when the three of us come together, we can achieve anything. The chemistry that we have is pure magic. Capital L-O-V-E.
Huey, Dewey & Louie might have thought the same when they opened Huey, Dewey & Louie's Good Time Cafe. These little scoundrels' dining establishment serves up sandwiches. Not any type of sandwiches. They serve up sandwiches that are cutely shaped. For example, they have a sandwich that is shaped like Uncle Donald's foot.
Donald's Burger served up at Huey, Dewey and Louie's Good Time Cafe is basically a shrimp cutlet burger. It's a shrimp cutlet topped with tartar sauce and a tiny piece of lettuce sandwiched between bread that is shaped like Donald's foot. The sandwich by itself is priced at 550 yen and the set which contains a drink and fries is priced at 960 yen.
Tastewise, Donald's Burger was disappointing. It tasted like the Shrimp Cutlet Burger that you can find at McDonald's Japan. In fact, McDonald's Shrimp Cutlet Burger is better. McDonald's Shrimp Cutlet Burger has more lettuce, the shrimp cutlet has more shrimp in it and the bun contains sesame. The biggest issue that I have with Donald's Burger is the amount of ingredients in it. One piece of lettuce, a small piece of shrimp cutlet and a lot of tartar sauce. The majority of the burger is tartar sauce! I could swear that there was no shrimp in the shrimp cutlet when I was chowing it down. Yes, it tasted like shrimp, but I certainly didn't bite into any pieces of shrimp. It was all cream. The only plus point that Donald's Burger has over McDonald's Shrimp Cutlet Burger is it's looks. It looks cuter. That's about it!
I highly recommend that you spend your money elsewhere. Donald's Burger is just not worth the money. You can get a better Shrimp Cutlet Burger for a lower price at McDonald's. Just in case you are curious, a Shrimp Cutlet Burger at McDonald's costs 370 yen. That's 180 yen of difference. You could get an extra apple pie and have 80 yen left. Throw that 80 yen into the Rivers of America and make a wish. Wish for Huey, Dewey & Louie to be more generous with their toppings. Hopefully, with enough wishes, the rascals will eventually learn and give us a sandwich that's worth 550 yen. For now, I suggest heading to Tomorrowland Terrace if you have a craving for sandwiches in Tokyo Disneyland.
PS: Dear sisters, if we ever open a restaurant together, let's not stinge on ingredients. Let's learn from the mistakes of Huey, Dewey & Louie. I love both of you dearly.
