Curry is definitely one of my favorite food in the whole wide world. Thai curry, Indian curry, European curry, Japanese curry, Singaporean curry. You name a type of curry and I'll probably say, "I love it!" Every country has modified this dish to make it their own. It's a really beautiful thing. I have this theory. You can know a bit about the people from the curry a country serves up. Indian curry is spicy and strong, much like it's people. Thai curry is sweet and spicy, much like it's people. Japanese curry is mild and sweet, much like it's people. Singaporean curry is confusing, much like it's people. Amazing, isn't it? Did I just blow your mind with my wonderful theory? Well, hopefully, Chicken & Roasted Onion Curry with Rice will blow your mind too.
Hungry Bear Restaurant serves up Japanese curry. This dining establishment has something for everyone. If you're a vegetarian, Steamed Vegetable Curry with Rice might just do the trick. If you're a carnivore, Pork Cutlet Curry with Rice might tickle your fancy. If you would prefer to have a more balanced meal with both meat and vegetables, you can choose between Hungry Bear Curry with Rice or Chicken & Roasted Onion Curry with Rice. If you're a cheap omnivore, like me, look no further than Chicken & Roasted Onion Curry with Rice.
Chicken & Roasted Onion Curry with Rice costs 720 yen for the regular plate and 870 yen for the large plate. It comes with rice, curry, onions and pieces of chicken. This is my favorite dish at Hungry Bear Restaurant. The pieces of chicken are juicy and tender. The curry is more flavorful than Pork Cutlet Curry and Steamed Vegetable Curry. The addition of onions definitely added something to the taste of the curry. It's also the cheapest dish in Hungry Bear Restaurant. If you are traveling to Tokyo Disney on a budget, I highly recommend adding this dish to your list of dishes to try. It's one of the dishes featured in my eBook (Value Meals In Tokyo Disneyland).
Overall, Chicken & Roasted Onion Curry with Rice is one of the dishes served up at Hungry Bear Restaurant. I really liked it. It didn't blow my mind. The curry still needed a bit more oomph, but it did put a smile on this rat's face. Affordable and tasty. I'll definitely be back for this dish, especially in the colder months.
Honorable Rating: Mmm, this is good. (4/5)
