It's tough finding a good sandwich in Tokyo Disney. Up to date, Honorable Rat has reviewed a few places that serve up sandwiches. Out of all those reviewed, I only have two restaurants that are worth recommending. They are Dreamer's Lounge and Kua Aina. Dreamer's Lounge is located in the beautiful Tokyo Disneyland Hotel and Kua Aina in Ikspiari. You might be asking, "What about the sandwiches served up in the parks, Mr Honorable Rat?" Well, honestly, in Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea, most sandwiches served up are just not good enough. Let's take for example the sandwiches served up at Huey Dewey & Louie's Good Time Cafe. Apart from them looking real cute, they are just not worth the money. Or the burgers served up at Cape Cod's Cook-Off. If not for the Duffy show, nobody would dine there. NOBODY!
Tomorrowland Terrace serves up Mickey Bread Sandwiches. They are really cute. I've grown to become wary of cute food. You see, in Singapore, at the hawker centers, there is no such thing as cute food. Everything looked like food served up in prison. It's like some dude just scooped up food and plunked it on your plate. No such thing as presentation and all that, but almost always, you will walk away a happy rat. Cheap, delicious, amazing food. On the other hand, in Japan, everything has to be cute, including food. If you can make ladies in Japan, young and old, go "kawaii", your product will most likely sell well. More often than not, I've walked away from those kind of meals disappointed. They look good, but taste mediocre and they don't come cheap. Because of that, I have developed a phobia for cute food. Now that I've shared my pointless fear with all of you, it's time to give Tomorrowland Terrace an honest, Honorable Rat review.
Tomorrowland Terrace is a counter service restaurant. It's affordable, compared to other Tokyo Disney dining establishments. You can get a sandwich set (Sandwich, drink and fries) for less than 1,000 yen. From my experience, it's tough finding good food at Tokyo Disney for that price. Recently, I released an eBook on Amazon titled Value Meals In Tokyo Disneyland. If you're planning a trip to Tokyo Disneyland, do pick up a copy. I'm sure that it will help you save some money when visiting the resort.
Tomorrowland Terrace provides both outdoor and indoor seating. This place is big, compared to other Tokyo Disney dining establishments. I've always been able to find a seat when I visit. For some odd reason, it seems to be less crowded than Plaza Restaurant. In fact, I feel that it's the least crowded restaurant in Tomorrowland. If you ever get tired from walking in Tokyo Disneyland, you should be able to rest your weary feet at Tomorrowland Terrace. Grab yourself a drink and relax.
Oh boy...Time to review the cute sandwiches. Gulp! After trying all the sandwiches at Tomorrowland Terrace, my phobia of cute food is still very much alive and kicking, but don't stress out Ratketeers. The reason for my fear is not because of the food at Tomorrowland Terrace. I still have that phobia because my wound runs deep. I'm a very sensitive rat and it will take a long time for me to recover from this. I'm taking baby steps, chewing at the right direction to get to where I want to be. Thankfully, the sandwiches served up at Tomorrowland Terrace assisted me on this long road to recovery. I would like to thank these sandwiches for being cute, affordable and delicious. This dining experience was definitely a small step at the right direction. Arigatou Mickey Bread Sandwiches.
Honorable Rating: Mmm, this is good. (4/5)
